Step 1 - Hair Tea Rinse & Liquid Gold Works

Before washing hair, apply the Herbal Hair Tea Rinse onto your scalp to wake up dormant hair follicles & stimulate growth. Can applied and left in after washing.

Step 2 - Conditioner Bar

Wet and massage in the Conditioner Bar to cleanse & hydrate hair/beard. Follow up with shampoo. Moisturizing before shampooing helps protect hair from being stripped, which can lead to breakage.

Step 3 - Silk Hair Butter

After washing, while hair is still damp, apply the Silk Hair Butter from root to tip to lock in moisture and prevent split ends. We recommend mixing the tea and butter together.

Pro tip: Use oil and butter on wet hair if you have porous hair!!!! Do not towel dry porous hair!!

Warm a small amount between your palms and work lightly along the complete hair shaft, from root to tip, including braids, twists, or free-form locs. It can also be applied sparingly to skin and scalp. Add more only as needed rather than saturating hair or skin.

For low porosity hair, combine with our Hair Tea for the best results. medium to high porosity hair, pair with Liquid Black Gold and Hair Tea, or try the Hair/Beard Growth & Maintenance Kit for the full routine.

If you prefer a melted application, gently melt a small amount, allow it to cool until comfortably warm, then apply lightly and leave it in. Do not apply while hot. No immediate rinsing is needed; wash as part of your normal routine or sooner if buildup or irritation occurs.

How much should I use?
Start with a small dab, warm it between your palms, and spread a thin layer. Add a little at a time only as needed; use less if hair feels coated or weighed down.

Can I apply it to skin and the full hair shaft?
Yes. Apply lightly along the complete hair shaft, from root to tip. You can also use a small amount on skin and scalp. Use less near the roots if your scalp is oily or product collects there.

Do I need to rinse it out?
This is a leave-in product; you do not need to rinse immediately after applying, including when you melt it first. Let melted butter cool until comfortably warm before applying, never hot. Our founder leaves it in and washes their porous hair twice a month. That is a personal routine, not a required schedule. Wash sooner if hair feels coated, greasy, tacky, or weighed down. If irritation develops, stop using it and wash it off.

What if I notice buildup?
Pause reapplication and wash with shampoo to remove residue. Use less next time, especially near the roots. Choose your wash frequency based on how your hair and scalp feel rather than a fixed clarifying schedule.

How do I care for my hairline?
Use a light amount near your edges and avoid spreading excess onto your forehead or face. Wipe away excess from facial skin and wash your hands after applying. Hair products can contribute to clogged pores for some people. If new or worsening hairline bumps appear, stop applying it in that area and wash away residue.

When should I stop using it?
Stop and wash it off if you notice burning, itching, redness, a rash, new or worsening bumps, or unusual scalp flaking or texture changes. Seek advice from a healthcare professional if symptoms persist or worsen.
